Ex-service organisations and community groups from across South Australia are invited to apply for funding to support projects that aim to commemorate, engage and educate, with the opening of the annual Anzac Day Commemoration Fund today.

Funding of up to $100,000 is available in the 2022-2023 grant round for eligible projects that commemorate Anzac Day, educate the community about the significance of Anzac Day or are of benefit to the veteran community.

Previously, funding has been used to create art murals, local history trails and digital resources that highlight the contributions of Australians throughout our military history.

A sub-committee of the Veterans’ Advisory Council will assess applications, which will close at 5.00pm ACDT on Monday 7 November 2022.

I am pleased that the South Australian Government can support projects and initiatives that enable this history to be told and to educate younger generations about the service and sacrifice of the men and women who bravely defended our freedoms.
